Privacybeleid Crios Ballistics

Crios Ballistics is een app van Crios Innovations (Precision Training & Solutions), gevestigd in Nederland. Dit beleid geldt voor de app, voor de Play Store-versie en voor criosballistics.com.

Kort samengevat

• Je hebt geen account nodig. Wij vragen geen naam, e-mailadres of andere persoonsgegevens.
• Alles wat je invoert (profielen, range cards, instellingen, trainingsresultaten) wordt alleen op je eigen telefoon bewaard.
• Wij hebben geen eigen server die jouw gegevens ontvangt. Wij kunnen jouw gegevens dus niet inzien.
• Er zitten geen advertenties, geen tracking en geen analysesoftware in de app.

Gegevens op je telefoon

De app bewaart je gegevens in de opslag van je eigen browser of telefoon: wapen- en munitieprofielen, range cards, weer- en windwaarden, stages, chronograafmetingen, onderhoud, kaartdoelen, trainingsresultaten, instellingen en eventuele API-sleutels die je zelf invult. Deze gegevens verlaten je telefoon alleen als jij ze zelf exporteert of deelt. Verwijder je de app of wis je de sitegegevens, dan zijn ze weg.

Locatie

De app vraagt alleen om je locatie als je een functie gebruikt die dat nodig heeft, zoals het weer ophalen, je hoogte bepalen of de kaart. Je locatie wordt dan rechtstreeks vanaf je telefoon naar de gekozen dienst gestuurd (zie hieronder) om het weer, de hoogte of de kaart op te halen. Wij ontvangen of bewaren je locatie niet. Je kunt de toestemming altijd intrekken in de instellingen van je telefoon.

Camera en sensoren

• Schietrichting bepalen: de camera toont een live beeld met kompas, zodat je op het doel kunt richten. Er wordt geen foto of video opgeslagen of verstuurd.
• Chronograaf-foto lezen: als je een foto van je chronograaf kiest, leest de app de tekst op je eigen telefoon. De foto wordt niet geüpload.
• Kompas en kantelsensor: deze worden alleen op je telefoon gebruikt.
• Koppelen met een tweede telefoon: schutter en spotter verbinden rechtstreeks via je eigen netwerk (bijvoorbeeld een hotspot). Weer, wind, afstand en correcties gaan alleen tussen die twee telefoons. Wij ontvangen niets. De camera wordt alleen gebruikt om de koppelcode te scannen. Heb je internet, dan vraagt de app bij het koppelen eenmalig je openbare netwerkadres op bij een STUN-server van Cloudflare, zodat de telefoons elkaar ook via het mobiele netwerk kunnen vinden; daarbij gaan geen gegevens uit de app mee.
• Bluetooth (Kestrel): koppel je een Kestrel, dan maakt je telefoon rechtstreeks via Bluetooth verbinding met de Kestrel. De meetwaarden (zoals temperatuur, luchtdruk, luchtvochtigheid, wind en richting) worden alleen op je telefoon gebruikt en bewaard. Wij ontvangen ze niet.

Externe diensten

Voor sommige functies haalt de app gegevens op bij andere diensten. Daarbij ontvangt die dienst, zoals bij elk bezoek aan een website, je IP-adres en de gevraagde gegevens (bijvoorbeeld coördinaten of een kaartgebied). Op die gegevens is het privacybeleid van die dienst van toepassing.

• Weer en hoogte: alleen de dienst die je zelf kiest: MET Norway, National Weather Service (VS), Open-Meteo, OpenWeatherMap of Windy, en voor hoogtes AHN (Nederlandse overheid) of USGS (Amerikaanse overheid).
• Kaarten en luchtfoto’s: PDOK (Nederlandse overheid), USGS (Amerikaanse overheid), OpenStreetMap, Esri/ArcGIS als je een eigen sleutel invult, en de eigen kaartbron die je zelf invult.
• Tekstherkenning: de software hiervoor wordt de eerste keer geladen via jsDelivr.
• Lettertypen: Google Fonts.
• Hosting: de app wordt geleverd via Cloudflare. Cloudflare verwerkt technische gegevens zoals je IP-adres om de site te leveren en te beveiligen.
• Google Play: koop je de app via Google Play, dan verwerkt Google de betaling. Wij ontvangen geen betaalgegevens.

Delen en exporteren

Als je een back-up exporteert of een profiel of range card deelt, maakt de app een bestand dat jij zelf naar een andere app of persoon stuurt. Let op: een back-up bevat ook je ingevulde API-sleutels. Deel back-ups daarom alleen met jezelf.

Leeftijd

De app is bedoeld voor volwassen (sport)schutters en niet voor kinderen onder de 18 jaar.

Je rechten

Omdat wij geen persoonsgegevens van je hebben, kun je je gegevens zelf inzien, aanpassen en verwijderen in de app. Mail je ons, dan gebruiken wij je e-mailadres en bericht alleen om je te antwoorden. Heb je een vraag of klacht over privacy, neem dan contact met ons op. Je kunt ook een klacht indienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Wijzigingen

Verandert de app zodat dit beleid niet meer klopt, dan passen wij deze pagina aan en wijzigen wij de datum bovenaan.

Crios Ballistics Privacy Policy

Crios Ballistics is an app by Crios Innovations (Precision Training & Solutions), based in the Netherlands. This policy applies to the app, the Google Play version and criosballistics.com.

In short

• No account is needed. We do not ask for your name, email address or other personal data.
• Everything you enter (profiles, range cards, settings, training results) is stored only on your own phone.
• We have no server of our own that receives your data, so we cannot see it.
• The app contains no advertising, no tracking and no analytics.

Data on your phone

The app stores your data in your own browser or phone storage: rifle and ammunition profiles, range cards, weather and wind values, stages, chronograph readings, maintenance, map targets, training results, settings and any API keys you enter yourself. This data only leaves your phone when you export or share it yourself. If you uninstall the app or clear its site data, it is deleted.

Location

The app only asks for your location when you use a feature that needs it, such as fetching weather, determining your altitude or the map. Your location is then sent directly from your phone to the chosen service (see below) to fetch the weather, altitude or map. We do not receive or store your location. You can withdraw permission at any time in your phone’s settings.

Camera and sensors

• Setting the shooting direction: the camera shows a live view with a compass so you can aim at the target. No photo or video is stored or sent.
• Reading a chronograph photo: when you choose a photo of your chronograph, the app reads the text on your own phone. The photo is not uploaded.
• Compass and tilt sensor: these are used on your phone only.
• Linking with a second phone: shooter and spotter connect directly through your own network (for example a hotspot). Weather, wind, range and corrections go only between those two phones. We receive nothing. The camera is only used to scan the link code. If you have internet, the app asks a Cloudflare STUN server once for your public network address while linking, so the phones can also find each other through the mobile network; no app data is sent.
• Bluetooth (Kestrel): when you connect a Kestrel, your phone connects directly to the Kestrel via Bluetooth. The measurements (such as temperature, pressure, humidity, wind and direction) are used and stored on your phone only. We do not receive them.

Third-party services

For some features the app fetches data from other services. As with any website visit, that service receives your IP address and the requested data (for example coordinates or a map area). Their own privacy policies apply to that data.

• Weather and altitude: only the service you choose yourself: MET Norway, National Weather Service (US), Open-Meteo, OpenWeatherMap or Windy, and for heights AHN (Dutch government) or USGS (US government).
• Maps and aerial imagery: PDOK (Dutch government), USGS (US government), OpenStreetMap, Esri/ArcGIS if you enter your own key, and any map source you enter yourself.
• Text recognition: the software is loaded once via jsDelivr.
• Fonts: Google Fonts.
• Hosting: the app is delivered via Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site.
• Google Play: if you buy the app on Google Play, Google processes the payment. We receive no payment details.

Sharing and exporting

When you export a backup or share a profile or range card, the app creates a file that you send to another app or person yourself. Note that a backup also contains any API keys you entered, so only share backups with yourself.

Age

The app is intended for adult (sport) shooters and not for children under 18.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, you can view, change and delete your data yourself in the app. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply. For privacy questions or complaints, contact us. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If the app changes so that this policy is no longer accurate, we will update this page and the date at the top.
